WHAT WE DO?
Southwest Virginia Pride, Inc. (SWVA PRIDE), located in Roanoke, VA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the LGBTQAI+ community all year long, through educational programs, major events, fundraising, outreach, and advocacy, providing platforms for visibility, and supporting the work of our many community organizations and local businesses within Southwest Virginia and beyond.
Southwest Virginia Pride, Inc. is here to provide additional needed services for the LGBTQA+ community in Southwestern Virginia. We plan to offer assistance to current prides in the area and help other rural areas, develop pride events of their own. We will continue to provide outreach to the homeless population including offering food, clothing, and blankets. We have future plans to develop and offer LGBTQ+ educational programs and workshops. We also have future plans to advocate with foster care and adoption agencies for the placement of LGBTQA children and help LGBTQA parents achieve families. These are just a few of the many areas we hope to serve in the future and hopefully will be able to add more services that are needed.
